The Lakeshore Village Artists' Co-op opened its doors to artist-members 30 years ago, in the summer of 1993. To celebrate this milestone, the co-op and its committees are planning a series of events that will take place over the coming year. Stay tuned to LVAC News for updates!

We'll also document some of LVAC's history in the months ahead, which is part of the larger history of artists' and co-operative housing in Toronto and our own community of Lakeshore Village. As a teaser, here's the poster that announced LVAC's launch in early 1993, courtesy of the Ric Amis collection at the Art Gallery of Ontario archives.

Poster reads: Artists Live/Work Housing. A new affordable non-profit artists housing co-operative will be opening this summer in New Toronto (South Etobicoke).
