EXHIBITION: Shaped by the Land
June 1–October 18
Monday–Sunday, 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Algonquin Art Centre

LVAC’s Tim Hough is among the artists featured in a new themed exhibition at the Algonquin Art Centre, opening today. Shaped by the Land invites visitors to experience Algonquin Park not just as scenery, but as a powerful, living force.
This exhibition explores how the land, through time, water, ice, fire, and countless natural processes, has shaped Algonquin Park, and how it continues to shape the life, memory, and meaning of all who pass through it. From ancient geological forces to quiet seasonal shifts, the works in Shaped by the Land reflect the subtle and transformative power of nature at work.
Exhibition details and directions are available on the Algonquin Art Centre’s website, below.

EXHIBITION: Territories: Sites of Encounter
Arts Etobicoke
Until June 4
Wednesday–Saturday, 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Cloverdale Common at Cloverdale Mall

Arts Etobicoke is excited to present the sixth and final exhibition in the Territories series, Territories: Sites of Encounter.
The exhibition brings together a dynamic range of installations, two-dimensional works, film, and mixed media pieces that explore places where connection unfolds and social life takes form, while also considering encounters with different versions of ourselves and the beliefs we carry into shared spaces. From playgrounds and parks to sidewalks, community hubs, and informal gathering spaces, it reflects on how play, movement, and interaction activate environments and create meaning. These sites, whether structured or spontaneous, become stages for exchange, negotiation, and belonging, inviting audiences to reflect on how shared spaces shape both collective narratives and our evolving sense of self.
Visit the Arts Etobicoke website for exhibition details.
